Dr. Ellen Lin, board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with sub specialty certification in Pain Medicine, at Advanced Pain Spine And Pain Center is doing her part by, helping the medical community with supplies that may be running low for health care providers.

“We are working on days and weeks supply,” states Jennifer Sharpe Potter, Ph.D., M.P.H., the professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Vice Dean for Research.

The global outbreak of COVID-19 has caused an impact on the demand for supplies. This week Dr. Lin was able to collect and contribute gowns, masks, gloves, and thermometers to UT Health San Antonio where she is a graduate.

Dr. Lin says, “I am also getting 10,000 masks shipped from Taiwan. They are ready to go. But we don’t know how to deal with the shipping restriction right now. It’s very unfortunate.”

Also joining the efforts is Roberta Tremper, DNP RN Administrator Advanced Surgical Care of Boerne. “Advanced Surgical Care of Boerne is dedicated to the provision of exceptional patient care. During this difficult time, we recognize the importance of supporting our colleagues that continue to work with acutely ill patients in any way we can. We are honored to provide the needed supplies so they may continue to take care of patients and protect themselves.”
